IPCC, AR4, “Climate Change 2007”, has been completed.

The IPCC is honored with the Nobel Peace Prize

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oslo, 10 December 2007 - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. were awarded of the Nobel Peace Prize "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

 

Dr. Mostafa Jafari as member of IPCC and Lead Author of Asia Chapter, WGII (Impact, Adaptation and Vulnerability), for fourth assessment report (AR4) has granted a certificate of Nobel Peace Prize. He is international adviser of IRIMO, ex-director of First Vice President office of WMO, a member of scientific board of RIFR and Executive Manager of the National Research Project on climate change.

Dr. Mostafa Jafari, (year 2010) is acting  as member of IPCC and Lead Author of chapter 11- AFOLU (Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use), WGIII (Mitigation), for fifth assessment report (AR5), which its' report would be released by 2014. 

Dr. Mostafa Jafari, now (year 2020) is acting  as member of IPCC and Lead Author of Chapter 10- Asia, WGII (Impact, Adaptation and Vulnerability), for sixth assessment report (AR6), which its' report would be released by 2022(3).
